West Bandung, November 26, 2025. The ICON NEXT 2025 technology exhibition with the theme "Feel The Future" was officially held at Mason Pine, Kota Baru Parahyangan, West Bandung Regency, on November 26-28, 2025. This event is a platform for innovation that showcases the best work of the young generation, energy technology companies, to the latest digital solutions that mark the future direction of Indonesia's digital transformation.

Sugeng Widodo, General Manager of PLN UID West Java, in his opening remarks, chose an informal approach; instead of giving a speech, he delivered a testimonial full of appreciation. He opened the testimonial with a rhyme, “Painted roads see rainbows, bright colors add new enthusiasm. Let’s start today’s activities with Icon Plus, looking towards a more advanced future.” His special appreciation was extended to Mrs. Heni and the entire Icon Plus West Java team for organizing the event, which was deemed a success and met national standards. Widodo was also honestly impressed by the demonstration of three sophisticated robots that were introduced, demonstrating how cutting-edge technology is ready to support progress. He encouraged all PLN UID West Java colleagues to strengthen collaboration with Icon Plus, take advantage of the ease of the procurement process, and introduce the service further to customers. He closed his remarks with congratulations and best wishes for the entire team.

A variety of exhibition booths from educational institutions, industry, and technology startups enlivened the event. These included displays ranging from robotics, the Internet of Things (IoT), intelligent energy systems, electric motors, to military-grade rugged devices. The exhibition wasn't just a promotional event, but a meeting place for innovators, students, businesspeople, and the public eager to see firsthand the future of Indonesian technology.

Innovation Space for Students and Young Generation
One of the visitors' highlights was the PLN Institute booth, which showcased a number of educational innovations, including Nusantara Robotics, Radio Communications, Visio AI, and Soccer Bot. The stand also showcased a variety of simple yet relevant IoT applications for everyday life.
Equally interesting, students from the Al Inayah Junior High School (MTs) showcased their work, including an automatic plant watering device and an IoT-based air purifier. "We want to show that technology doesn't have to be expensive. Even MTs students can create innovations that benefit the environment," said Sopyan Aditia, a student mentor.
Education, creativity, and the courage to experiment were the strong messages conveyed by this group of students. The technology exhibition, ultimately, was a space for young people to be trusted and given the opportunity to contribute.

Future Home and Future Office: A Look at Smart Housing
Smart living was also discussed at ICON Plus' Future Home and Future Office booths. Visitors could experience firsthand how smart homes and offices work: rooftop PV solar panels, an Energy Management System (EMS) dashboard, an AI-based smart meeting system, and Erva, an internal virtual assistant that serves as a resource for information.
“"This smart office concept utilizes solar energy, a kWh monitoring system, and artificial intelligence integration. Everything is designed to make work activities more efficient and cost-effective," said Dianing, a representative from ICON Plus.
This solution is in line with the growing global trend of renewable energy use and digitalization of the workplace.

Substation Automation: A Four-Legged Robot Made by Indonesian Children
Another highlight came from PT Ezra Robotics Teknologi, which introduced its Operatorless Substation innovation. This locally-made four-legged robot is capable of conducting inspections, surveillance, and even patrolling automatically.
The robot is equipped with a thermal camera, a PTZ camera, and an acoustic imager to detect partial discharge symptoms. The data recorded by the robot is processed in real time by AI and displayed in the Command Center.
“"This innovation improves the efficiency, safety, and quality of substation monitoring," said Dimas from the marketing team. The presence of this technology is proof that AI-based automation is no longer a futuristic concept but is already being implemented in Indonesia's electricity infrastructure.

Future Transportation: Electric Motorcycles and Their Charging Ecosystem
Support for the energy transition is also evident in the launch of electric motorcycles from PLN ES and Indomobil E-Motor. These products offer a range of up to 110 km, are waterproof, capable of climbing hills, and are competitively priced at around Rp 20 million.
Electric motorcycles are considered key to reducing carbon emissions, especially in urban areas like Greater Bandung. The Adora, Tyranno, and Sprinto are among the product lines introduced at this exhibition.

Exclusive Interview: PLN Icon Plus Aims to Expand Internet Service to Remote Areas
In a separate interview, Heni Utari Ambarwati, General Manager of PLN SBU Jabar, explained the ICON NET internet network expansion strategy.
“"Basically, wherever PLN electricity is available, ICON NET has a strong presence," he said, emphasizing that ICON NET has exclusive rights to utilize PLN's electricity assets, ensuring efficient expansion.
Currently, ICON NET has more than 1.5 million customers and is the second largest internet provider nationally after Indihome.
According to Heni, ICON NET isn't focused on competing for market share in city centers. "Our goal is to ensure Indonesians are connected. We're targeting areas with minimal provider availability," she said.

Stability, Competitive Pricing, and Full Fiber Optic Service
Heni emphasized ICON NET's three advantages: a fully fiber optic network, extensive coverage, and competitive pricing. With a fully fiber optic network, ICON NET can provide much better connection stability than wireless-based services.

Support for MSMEs and the Education Sector
ICON NET also supports MSMEs through the marketplace within the PLN Mobile app, which now hosts over 6,600 stores with no service fees. "This is part of our CSR program to advance MSMEs," said Heni.
Meanwhile, from the educational side, ICON NET held robotics and digital literacy training for one thousand students as a form of investment in the younger generation so that they are able to utilize technology intelligently.

ICON NET's Main Focus: Supporting PLN's Electricity Reliability
Despite significant retail customer growth, Heni emphasized that the retail sector is not a top priority. "Our focus is on supporting PLN's electricity reliability through B2B services, such as leasing unused fiber optic core capacity," she explained.
According to him, ranking isn't the primary goal. "As for being number one, we'll see how it goes. That's not our focus," he said.

PLN Mobile as a Bridge to Public Services
PLN Mobile now manages various promotional programs, including sports activities like volleyball. "PLN Mobile was created to ensure a better relationship between PLN and its customers," said Heni.
Through this application, the public can access additional power discount services, disruption information, and an MSME marketplace.
